COVID-19 Vaccine Information 12/18/20

HealthSource Saginaw is happy to announce we are scheduled to administer COVID-19 vaccinations to Long-Term Care residents and frontline providers on December 30th, free of charge.

Most COVID19 vaccines require two separate doses, given three or four weeks apart. Participants of clinical trials have reported experiencing short-term side effects after receiving the vaccination, with more pronounced discomfort after the second dose. These possible side effects include headache, muscle pain, fatigue, chills, fever, and pain at the injection site. The COVID-19 vaccine cannot give you COVID-19. The vaccine works by helping the body create antibodies to fight off the virus. Feeling discomfort after getting the vaccine means the vaccine is doing its job, and your body is making antibodies.
